The ART-3D series are precision instruments, designed to measure turn ratios, phase displacements, excitation currents of single phase and three phase power, distribution and instrument transformers in conformity to the IEEE C57.12.90 & IEC 60076.

The instrument’s rugged design is perfectly suited to tackle the most challenging field or manufacturing environments. The anti-induction mode strongly enhances the efficiency of the measurements by countering the unwanted effect of nearby induction interference. The large, high contrast, color, touch screen display offers easy menu navigation, creation of test plans and viewing of test files. The integrated LTC control terminal allows for manual or fully automatic testing sequence of On-Load Tap changers with configurable pulse duration and duty cycle. The additional tertiary winding channel of the ART-3Dx will save a great deal of time, with onetime test connections to primary, secondary and tertiary windings. One of the ART-3D’s key features is the colored and graphical way of displaying LTC test results for interpretation in seconds!

With its real 3-phase test circuit, the ART-3D can address complex ratio measurements of PhaseShifting/Regulating or irregular vector group type transformers, otherwise impossible to achieve with conventional ratio meters. Zigzag type transformers testing is very easy and will not require the installation of jumpers or the use of relay matrix circuits. The single or real 3 phase voltage output up to 275V contributes to higher magnetization currents and therefore stronger flux for better signal reflection on secondary and/or tertiary windings allowing more accurate results. The ART-3D phase displacement measurements enables for simple detection of the transformer vector group.

The Single-phase TTR® Transformer Turns Ratio Test Set measures the turns ratio and exciting current of windings in power, potential and current transformers. Deviations in turns ratio readings indicate problems in one or both windings or the magnetic core circuit.

The TTR test set aids in identifying:
 - Shorted coils
 - Open circuits
 - Incorrect connections
 - Internal faults or tap-changer defects in step regulators as well as in transformers.

The single-phase, hand-cranked model measures highly sensitive turns ratios of up to 129.99:1 with accuracy of ±0.1%. An optional auxilary transformer extends the ratio range to 329.99:1.

The TTR set operates on the principle that the voltage ratio of the transformer at no load is practically equal to the true turns ratio.

The major source of error in a transformer is a primary impedance drop due to magnetizing current, which is kept to a minimum by excitation at a fraction of rated voltage. By employing a design that meets both of these conditions along with the use of a null balance system, the turns ratio of a transformer can be determined accurately.

When measuring the turns ratio of distribution and power transformers, the accuracy is well within 0.1%.

The OTS60AF/2, OTS80AF/2 and OTS100AF/2 are used for determining the dielectric strength of liquid insulants, such as the insulating oils used in transformers, switchgear and other electrical apparatus.

The test sets are fully automatic. The operator has simply to prepare the test vessel, load it with sample oil, place it in the test chamber, select the appropriate specification for the tests and then start the test sequence. The test set carries out automatically (and if necessary unattended) the sequence of tests as defined by the pre-selected national specification.

The FREJA™300 relay testing system is a computer-aided relay testing and simulation system. The rugged hardware design is built for field use over a wide temperature range, with the possibilities of intelligent software to perform rapid testing.

The very accurate (typically 0.01%) low level analogue inputs are designed for transducer measurements. The high level inputs can be used as a normal volt- and ammeter. FREJA 300 can generate 4x150 V (82 VA) and 3x15 A (87 VA) or 1x45 A (250 VA). Each output can be varied independently. Both static and dynamic testing can be performed, such as prefault and fault generation, simultaneous ramping of several quantities and wave form editing.

FREJA 300 can also be used as a disturbance simulator and create and generate simulated disturbances, or import actual recorded disturbances from e.g. EMTP or COMTRADE files.

10 kV insulation resistance testers from Megger are designed specifically to assist you with the testing and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment. IEEE 43-2000 recommends the use of 10 kV for motor windings rated above 12 kV and the Megger S1-1052/2 facilitates this.

The instruments have a large easy to read backlit LCD display making it equally suitable for use in both bright sunlight and poorly lit environments. Information displayed includes resistance, voltage, leakage current, capacitance, battery status and time constant. In addition, the elapsed time of the test is displayed constantly, removing the need for separate timers. Adjustable timers and limit alarms are included.

The DUCTER DLRO 10 and DUCTER DLRO 10X make up a family of low resistance ohmmeters that measure resistances in the range from 0.1 µΩ to 2 kΩ. Both instruments provide a maximum test current of 10 Amps d.c. which is automatically selected according to the value of resistance being tested. The DLRO 10X allows you to override this automatic selection and sele...ct your own test current.

The measured value of resistance is output to the instrument display with indication of the units, µΩ, mΩ or Ω. The DLRO 10 uses a large LED display and indicators to display the value and units respectively, while the DLRO 10X contains all the information on a clear backlit LCD display.

The use of a four terminal measurement technique removes the test lead resistance from the measured value and auto current reversal eliminates the effect of standing voltages across the test sample. 

Additionally, before and during a test, test lead contact is monitored to further reduce the chance of erroneous readings.

FADOS7F1 Trouble Shooting and Osciloscope Device is designed for trouble shooting all types of electronic boards. The FADOS7F1 is a PC-Based VI Test Voltage - Current Analysis device.
Signature Analysis is a power-off test method that is used to troubleshoot circuit boards. FADOS7F1 works by applying a current-limited sine wave through a serial resistor point of touched on circuit and Voltage-Current (Signature) graph is displayed on the computer screen.
In addition to these features, the computer software analyzes the Voltage – Current graph and shows the equivalent circuit diagram and the electronic components of the contact point. Those futures are intended to provide guidance to the user in order to facilitate trouble shooting.
Using the Dual Channel VI test feature, the intact and defective (or suspect) electronic boards can be compared by touching the same points on each board at the same time, thus the out-oftolerance malfunctions can easily be diagnosed with this method. All the VI graphs are produced by the software making analyses at 720 separate points with an accuracy of 2.5 mV. Therefore the FADOS7F1 is very accurate.
Memory Recording feature; by means of this feature, the characteristics of the intact electronic board ( VI graph, equivalent circuit diagram and electronic components values) are written on the computer’s hard disk and taking these points as reference, you can compare the defective (or assumed to be defective) electronic boards accurately, easily and rapidly. At the same time, the data can be written on the photograph of the board. Thus, the recorded point can be seen on the photograph while making a comparison from the memory.
The software produces different sounds while comparing the matching and non-matching points during the test, thus allowing to concentrate only on the sound for a rapid comparison without having to look at a board or display continuously. The user can compare the electronic boards from 3 different settings at the same time. (Selected Current-Voltage-Frequency steps)
In addition to the above features, the VI FADOS7F1 Test Device can be used as a Dual-channel Oscilloscope, Square Wave Generator and Analog Voltage output. When the Square Wave Signal Output is used, a signal is applied to the electronic board and the other channels display the output signals on the oscilloscope screen.
Technicians, engineers and hobbyists have found VI graph to be an effective and efficient method for troubleshooting printed circuit boards. The signature comparison method is easy to use and allows for immediate feedback that will assist you in locating faulty component. As you gain some experience with VI graph you will realize that FADOS7F1 is an indispensable troubleshooting tool. Usage is very easy and users will find the faults just by looking at graphs without comparison.
When test Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) with FADOS7F1, do not apply power to PCA. PCA and the devices must be made high-voltage capacitor discharges. There is no risk of further damage to the PCA while testing and troubleshooting.
FADOS7F1 is easy to carry since it’s small. It can be carried in a laptop briefcase. Including many more features, it is like a Swiss knife of users dealing with electronics.

The Megger OTS100AF Automatic Laboratory Insulating Oil Tester is the latest in oil test design and has replaced the Megger OTS100AF/2. This new oil test set is able to perform accurate breakdown voltage tests on mineral, ester and silicon insulating liquids. Battery in power plants and transformer substantions must provide the equipment they serve with standby power in the event of power failure. Unfortunately, however, the capacity of such batteries can drop significantly for a number of reasons before thei calculated life expectancy at regular intervals, and the only reliable way of measuring battery capacity is to conduct a discharge test.

Torkel 840 is used for battery systems ranging from 12 to 250 V - often encountered is switchgear and similar equipment. Discharging can take place at up to 110 A, and if higher current is needed, two or more torkel 840 units or extra load units, TXL, can be linked together. Tests can ne conducted at constant current, constant power, constant resistance or in accordance with a preselected load profile.
